Join us for an exciting multi-stop tour that highlights three decades of collaborative ash stewardship and emerald ash borer (EAB) response between the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe and the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation at Brasher State Forest. This SAP-Ne Demonstration Site Field Tour will begin at the Brasher Falls Maintenance Center before caravanning to two more field sites. This is a great opportunity to experience 30 years of leadership, research, and progress in sustaining ash on the landscape!

Highlight a model for effective ash stewardship, inclusion of Indigenous cultural values, and proactive forest pest management
Visit recent silvicultural treatments and observe an insecticide injection demonstrationto preserve ash on the landscape
Discuss black ash as an ecological and cultural keystone species
Facilitate meaningful discussion, casual networking, and lunch with others dedicated to the future of ash
